Mechanical Engineer
Summary of essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Computer Numerically Controlled Machine Programmer for Metals and Plastics
- Perform concept and design reviews with manufacturing and leadership
- Create 3D models, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM's) specific to each project
- Drawings which include dimensioning, fastening methods, fabrication and annotation detailing
- Use CAM software to produce production programs for a variety of machines
- CNC Turret Punch Press
- CNC Plasma Table
- CNC Mill, Router, & Lathe
- Maintain detailed machine setup documentation for operators
- Design fixtures and Jigs to aid and improve manufacturing processes
- Interface with in house manufacturing, fabricators, assemblers and supervisors
- Prepare Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents
Position Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication skills (i.e. Verbal, MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC equipment
- Experience with CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
- Experience with CAM software (Mastercam / Sigma Nest preferred)
